Bachelor thesis deals with the protection of population and with the means of the individual protection. The thesis is devided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The first theoretical part covers the means of individual protection for the given categories of people and it presents the legislation which is concerned this topic as well. The second practical part includes a plan of area coverage with the facilities of the civil protection for the issues of means of individual protection in Brno - north city district.

There are listed the basic principles of safety of persons who have responsibility for forming machines, or machinery coming into contact. Further bachelor thesis includes a description of the features of the forming machines and refers to the personal protective equipment.

Vliv impregnace dřeva hovězí krví na jeho odolnost proti dřevokazným houbám

The wood in buildings used to be treated with cattle blood. This paper deals with efficiency of such wood treatment against wood-decaying fungi. The main goal of the theoretical part was to summarize and settle obtainable information about cattle-blood wood impregnation. There were three different recipes based on cattle blood practically tested against brown-rot fungi (Poria placenta) and white-rot fungi (Trametes versicolor). The wood protection against wood-decaying fungi was evaluated as ineffective according to the ČSN EN 839 standard. The reason for wood treatment with blood and possible use in presence are still to be found.

Hanušová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT The thesis is focused on training students of the branch Exotic Animals Keeper regarding the course and organization of the professional training. The practical part is focused on safety and health protection at work in vocational training in this field. It is concerned with examples of risks at some workplaces in the zoo that the students can meet and cope with and examples of accidents and injuries that really occurred in the past. In the discussion there are recommenda- tions how to avoid possible injuries, with put the accent on importance of detailed and ongoing safety training so that students accept the safety rules automatically and these became an integral part of their professional growing and activities in the future. Rescue work in hazardous environment, protection options

This thesis deals with the hazardous aspect of the profession of paramedics and the aim is to emphasize the need to increase their protection. The work is devided into theoretical and research part. The theoretical part describes the work at a medical rescue service. The basic emergency measures, personal protective equipment and the most common hazards are named here. Everything is supported with legislation. The research was carried out in the form of semi-structured interviews with eight respondents, four men and four women, paramedics from South Bohemia and Liberec region. The basic objectives were to determine what risks are the paramedics mostly threatened by and what are the options for their best protection. The most frequently reported risks were infection, attacks and a car accident. The best protection to reduce the risk of infection is the use of protective equipment, vaccination and compliance with safety procedures. Self-defence and better cooperation with the police were cited as the measures to reduce the risk of attacks. The risk of a car accident can be reduced by better adaptation of drivers, a skid training and driving in a difficult terrain training. The results of the interviews in the two regions were not significantly different. If we compare the responses of men and women, the answers were also almost the same.

Ways of protection and decontamination of intervening members and members of fire brigades afflicted with ammonia

The topic of my thesis: "Possibilities and decontamination intervening members and members of the fire protection in contact with ammonia," which I deal with, is on the front burner, because ammonia is a very important and dangerous chemical that is increasingly used not only in industry, agriculture, but also in everyday life. Many business men still use ammonia mainly as a coolant and due to the age of the used technology it can happen and it happens that this chemical leaks into the environment, where it can be dangerous to health, life and the environment as well. It is very important to know the limits that we have to use to protect people, but also to know the intervening organs that carry out the rescue and the liquidation work just for events with the release of ammonia. The present thesis deals with protective equipment, decontamination procedures and the use of decontamination tools in the events of leakage of dangerous substances of ammonia at the Fire and Rescue Brigade of the City of Prague and Volunteer Fire Units of Prague.
